Calgary Power Hockey League

This letter is to inform you of a recent change that was made to the Calgary Selects selection process. During a Board Meeting held on November 27^th, the Board and the Coaches came to an agreement that the selection process be opened up to ALL CPHL Participants, instead of only those chosen by the coaches. There will be a Selection Camp held throughout December and January, at which point the coaches will determine their Tournament Team who will continue to practice together until the Tournament in August.

This decision was made as we all felt it would give the best opportunity for those interested in being considered for the team to practice together, participate in drills, and learn to work together for the longest time possible. Please understand that a commitment to the Selection Camp is fully expected from those individuals who wish to be considered for the team being sent to the Tournament. It will be at the full discretion of the coaches as to whom they will be choosing, and a large part of the selection criteria will be a full commitment to ‘the team’.

The Selection Camp will be held on the following dates:               

December 8, 2012 - 7-9pm

December 22, 2012 - 4-6pm

December 29, 2012 - 2-4pm

At least 2 dates in January – to be confirmed at a later date

All practices held at Cardel place. Those players who require Handi-Bus transportation and wish to participate in the camp are responsible for booking their own buses.
