Calgary Power Hockey League

The 13th Annual CPHL All-Star Game was played on January 17th and was again it was another exciting game.  Led by star Goaltender Jeff Barrett Team Black won the game by a score of 4-0.  Jeff is 1st Goaltender to record a shutout in the All-Star Game.  Team Black was also helped by Kevin Phillips hat trick and the great play from 2nd year forward Joseph Afonso who recorded a Goal and an Assist.

Team Red should not hang their heads however, despite the fact they were unable to score a goal they gave a great effort and had some wonderful opportunities especially from Ben Thorne who played one of his best games even though he could not get a goal.

The game was a great display of our young talent and their developement as players.  They should be very proud of their performance!

In closing, congratulations to Jeff Barrett and Ben Thorne for being named MVP of their respective teams!  Lets keep the good play going as we move toward the playoffs.
