Did everything well, was the definition of a complete defender. Phenomenal chair control meant he was rarely out of position. A match-up problem for even the strongest forwards, could lock-down anyone. Did not get care about personal statistics or goals – winning was all that mattered.
Winner of the Most Outstanding Defenseman a jaw dropping 18 times. Ability to increase intensity during big games made him even harder to play against. His big game ability earned him the Best Defensemen award at 2006 and 2007 tournaments and a playoff MVP in 2009. A fixture on the Selects throughout his career, named to 12 teams, including Captain multiple times.
Offence was never his priority, he still put up great numbers throughout his career, including being the first stick attached player to lead league in assists in 2011. Retired with almost every stick attached offensive records.
Off the court was a key volunteer and Board member for decades. He helped manage the league and ensure its continued success through his hardworking efforts.
