Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, and out of an abundance of caution, it has been decided to pause the remainder of the 2019-2020 CPHL season. The majority of our players fall in the "at risk" category if they were to catch the virus - ie: weaker respiratory and immune systems. It would be negligent of us as a league to allow our players, families, referees, and volunteers to potentially be exposed to Covid-19 by being in a high density venue as Vivo. The situation will be monitored by the League and, if things drastically improve in the next month or two, the Board may look at the feasibility of holding playoff games in the summer.
The awards banquet will unfortunately be cancelled also as a precaution.
Thank you for your understanding during this trying time.
If you received one of the large, non-keeper trophies last season, we ask that you start returning them to us. You can bring them to your next game at Vivo, where they will be stored in our equipment room.
There is only one game remaining in the regular season, so we ask that all trophies be returned within the next couple of weeks.
Due to the forecasted windchill in the mid minus twenties for tomorrow, it has been decided to cancel both games (January 11th). The games will be rescheduled to the end of the season, and the start date of the playoffs will be adjusted accordingly.
An updated schedule will be emailed out to all players and posted on the website shortly.
Those players taking Access Calgary buses are asked to please cancel their trips for hockey tomorrow.
Thank you for your understanding.
